Jonathan Machado - Armorum Ambassador
Meet our new Armorum Canada Ambassador Jonathan Machado!!
Jonathan recently joined the Armorum Canada Ambassador team, and we are extremely pleased to count him part of our little family and we look forward to a great adventure with him!
Jonathan shares with us how he got into competitive sports shooting;
“I have loved sports since I was a kid and I fell in love with sports shooting since 2004, I've participated initially in many Rifle and PPC competitions but since I moved to Canada from Venezuela in 2012, I've been more focused on IPSC and IDPA matches and been competing for the last 10+ years.
I'm a very versatile competitor in any discipline or division I choose, during my IPSC participation, I've been improving progressively in the last 5 years until positioning myself in the top 3 or 4 in IPSC Quebec rankings in Standard and Classic and more recently in Production Optic Division, including representing Quebec in 2022 IPSC Nationals in Classic Div. team and for the next 2024 IPSC Nationals coming soon, I will be part of the team of Production Optic Div too.
I had the opportunity to participate in big IPSC and IDPA matches in the US as well like the IPSC Pan-American Express 2022 in FL-US and the IPSC US Nationals in 2023 beside many worldwide professional shooters.
Similarly in some US IDPA big matches in Vermont and New Hampshire and Massachusetts like the IDPA Indoor US Nationals twice, in 2016 and 2017 and the Live Free or Die Level 3 IDPA Regional match in N-H twice, in 2019 and 2022 as well.
Now I'm preparing myself for the 2024 IDPA Nationals and 2024 IPSC Nationals, very excited after getting the support of Armorum Canada, an amazing place to find your outdoor, tactical and adventure gears with the best balance between quality and fair prices.”
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Jonathan’s achievements in Canada include the IDPA Ontario Provincial championships where he progressively moved from 3rd place up to overall winner in different divisions.
- 2015 3rd place in CDP
- 2016 First place and CDP Overall champion
- 2017 First place SS and second Overall in CDP
- 2019 First place and CDP Overall champion
- 2021 2nd place ESP EX
- 2023 Overall champion and Overall CO div champion
- 2024 First place in CO EX
